17 days........

17 days to go!
This past Monday I had an exciting day because my competition suit came in, as well as my jacket from Classic Stitch Embroidery who put the G-51 logo on my jacket! Classic Stitch (http://www.companycasuals.com/sanmar-servlets/CustomBrowser?customer=classicstitch)
is a family owned and operated business out of my home town of Dayton Ohio. The Grice family has ran the company for as long as I've known them. They are very dear to my heart because they're my best friend Tiffany's family. Thanks to them for their continued support in everything I do (even if they are a few states away!)
Right now I'm trying to tie up some lose ends of different things that need to be completed before I head into the last 2 weeks of training.
Here is a comparison photo of me 11 weeks out to me less than 3 weeks out.

SHOES!

I just purchased my shoes for my show!!!!! What an experience!
Of course clear shoes are not worn on a daily basis for the normal everyday women, therefore are aren't easiest thing to find, unless you know where to look.
For a small select group of people who work at certain establishments i.e. strippers they must find these certain risque heals at novelty shops.
So yesterday I wandered into as you can imagine a very classy boutique if you will to purchase my beyond classy shoes.

And an added bonus???? The sales person gave me an "entertainers discount" since she overheard me saying that it was for a show. So I took my 15% discount and went on my merry way with my 3" clear heals...awesome

The adventure continues......
Here are some pictures of me in my new shoes practicing my poses.

Keeping busy

In the middle of the day I find my imagination wondering into an array of tasty foods in which I cannot eat. Cheesecake, pancakes, and of course an ice cold beer.......
This along with having dreams of being force fed quaso has only added to the issue, so I've been trying to keep myself busy by doing different things.
The best thing so far has been Barnes and Nobles. Indeed, as most of you might know I don't enjoy reading much at all, however something about that wonderful store of many books keeps me coming back. The smell of freshly brewed coffee, crispy white paperback books, and (somewhat) comfy chairs to relax in has lured me back 6 out of the last 7 days. Even twice on Monday.
Magazines (of course) and health and fitness has been the material topic of choice the past few days, however I might venture into a different section of the store in the near future.
As for training...
Early am cardio hasn't been too bad, and has gotten me up and going on a good note!
Also, today I had a sweet potato for the first time since Thanksgiving and it was delicious even without all the warm marshmallows and cinnamon melted on top that leaves you with a fuzzy feeling inside.....mmmmm....anyways.....
On a side note I received my NPC card in the mail 2 days ago so I can send in my registration for the Capital of Texas show!!!

Its been a while

The last few weeks Ive been slammed with volleyball camps, clinics, and of course lessons so I haven't had much down time to update this.
Training has been going great! I have been staying on track with my training and my dieting for my show.
As of Monday the 14th I was at down to 169lbs and dropped almost 6% BF.
Although on an even brighter note I weighed myself today and saw 167lbs lookin back at me!!!

Dieting at times has been brutal.
Veggies veggies veggies, I love veggies.
A lot of veggies, a ton of protein, and a little cards has been pretty much it for the past few weeks
Ive been lucky enough to keep honey in my diet (1 tbsp a day with my oatmeal) however I have been eating more like 3 or so tbsp.......self control...needs some work at times....
The Morning Fight is what I have officially called it when the honey and I meet face to face and stare each other down at the breakfast table to duke it out....The battle will continue until Shane takes it away in a few short weeks.

As for everything else for the show is concerned, I ordered my suit from Vandella Costumes just the other day
http://www.vandellacostumes.com/index.php
And I also got my tanning all set up for before the show!!
Tomorrow I'm going to a posing class bright and early in the A.M. then hittin some cardio for an hour!

Hope everyone is well!
Until next time.

Week #4

Another weekend has come and gone and they seem to be picking up speed it feels.
Today was the start of week #4 and both my diet and workout program changed.
My diet went from a soaring 2400 calories to 1800 calories, which meant taking out my peanut butter and most of my fruits...of course the good stuff...however adding a protein shake for my evening snack...details on the taste will come tomorrow, I'm not bettin on anything too tasty.

As for my workout program today was an upper body day and Shane designated it a "push" day. So things like bench press, DB bench press, Skull crushers, DB shoulder press...you get the idea
Tomorrow is a heavy leg day
Wednesday is 60 min of cardio
Thursday is upper body "pull" day
Friday circuit leg day
Saturday 60 min cardio
Sunday OFF!
Plus an additional 4 days of short cardio (30min) in the evenings!!!!!!
BRING IT.

WEEK #3 Starts today!

Week 3 has started and in full swing.
Today I did a brutal upper body workout thanks to Shane.....
and finished with some sprints.....my favorite.... At one point in my life I thought I was all done with those silly things but lo and behold they have creeped back up in my life.
Oh well
I weighed in today and down 6lbs and 2% body fat!!!!
Diet stays the same for one more week......oh how i will miss peanut butter....

Week #2

It's Wednesday May 12th and I am happy to have almost 2 weeks training under my belt.
This weeks structure was pretty much the same as last weeks as far as programming and diet. 4 days of lifting and 2 days of cardio with Sunday OFF! Eating 2400 calories over 6 meals.
Today I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and burned 500 calories!!
Tomorrow I hit the weights again with Shane for an upper body day and will finish with some sprints........my favorite.....SIGH...
So far Im down a total of 6lbs. I believe I get my body fat % tested next Monday so I will soon know if I dropped any in that department as well!
Picture will come at the end of this week.

WEEK #1

Ive been toying with the idea of training for a figure competition for over a month now, but was not sure how to go about the whole process. After talking with a few different people about it I decided to work with a friend of mine who is a trainer at Lifetime Fitness in North Austin.
Both Shane and his wife Kate are great and very goal oriented.
I met with him on Monday to start the program.
First thing first. DIET!
That was the first thing out of his mouth. I knew going into this that the diet was going to brutal.
Good thing he started me out slow. 2400 calories a day. Eating 6 times per day. Which or me is easy. And of course. NO ALCOHOL!
Yikes! Time to work on other copping skills!
As for the training, this week we did a strength program 4 days a week and cardio 2 times per week.
We've set out on path for me to compete on August 7, 2010 at the NPC Capital of Texas Roundup at the Austin Convention Center.
Ill try to post a weekly picture to show my progress!
Thnx everyone for your support
